The Mitchell Photography Club Inc. caters for local photographers who want to take better images, learn how their camera works, promote fellowship, exchange ideas, increase their knowledge of photography and be inspired to take photos.
Our enthusiastic membership covers all age groups and ranges from beginners to professionals. We meet every 3rd Wednesday of the month at the Broadford Living and Learning Centre where in a friendly creative environment we encourage discussion and offer some of our photographs to gain practical feedback and positive encouragement. Our club meetings do not get carried away with formal meeting procedures and endless readings of minutes.
Fees are $50.00 per year (family $80.00) and visitors may attend two meetings before being required to become financial members. This also includes cost of $5 per member for annual membership of the Broadford Living and Learning Centre Inc.
The Mitchell Photography Club Inc. is affiliated with the Victorian Association of Photographic Clubs Inc. (VAPS) the benefits of which are insurance, a monthly newsletter and other resourses such as speakers and judges. For more information on VAPS go to http://www.vaps.org.au/.
The club has a monthly theme and the best image is displayed at the Bendigo Community Bank Broadford and Kilmore branches. The image should be recent and members are encouraged to do their own computer manipulation. Also have a look at www.dpreview.com which has many topics of interest for photographers.
